Digipak redraft
After receiving feedback from my class mates, I came to the conclusion that the back cover of my Digipak had some essential parts of it missing. To make it more complete I needed to add more songs to complete the album and some small print to make it more official looking. Here is the redrafted finished product.

Building the digipak
The template
To start with I needed to find a template. I liked this one as it has labels informing me where each graphic should be placed to create the final product. It also has different lines indicating:Blue line - Bleed
Red line - Trim
Red dotted line - Fold
Green line Safety
I found this key hugely helpful when designing the images on photo shop as they essentially worked as stencil for me to crop and distort my images to.
Images plus the template
One of the final steps was to combine the images I made in photoshop and the template I found on the internet. This gave me this final plan which I could use to create the real thing if I printed it out.The black background indicates depression and sadness. which is a key theme throughout all of the songs.
The finished product
I was curious to see what the print would look like on some 3D real life images like these. I thought that the design looked great from all sides and really showed off the artist while promoting a recognisable and iconic brand.Building the poster
After making the Digipak my next task was to create the poster. Like the digipak I made it using Photoshop. I took inspiration from my art work I did on the previous task and decided to adapt it to a poster version. In order to do this I took my original cut outs of the performer on the instrument then scaled and rotated them to fit in the centre of the poster. After this I wanted to add the blur effect again as I wanted my images to have noticeable links between them so that I can create this brand. Adding text was one of the last things to complete this task. The first bit of text I added was the 'MISCONCEPTIONS' title which I simply pasted from the digipak. Once it was in the poster I made it an appropriate size in order to be seen by the public bit not crowding the poster. The final bit of text to add was the releases dates and the platforms it is available on. After researching Trademark, Copyright and logo laws and infringement I understood that it was very important when scaling the music platform logos (Apple music, Spotify and Soundcloud) that you can not change the configuration of the original logo as it has to represent the company and it has to be as they indented their logo to be or they can remove your ad.
I wanted to see how my poster would look in a real environment so I found a picture of some billboards which I thought would be realistic to add my poster to.
I liked this photo as it is vibrant and also offers some challenges to overcome for example re editing the tree and cutting round the bin to complete the photo.
This is how my finished poster looks on my billboard image. I made it fit to the size of the billboard and then cropped around the bin and added more tree to re-cover the top of the poster. This was a simple thing to do but really adds to the realism of my final product.

New location for the film
After having many issues trying to film in the hall, I moved the filming location to the drama studio. Some of these issues included:
- Broken bulbs in the lights
- The care taker was cleaning whilst I was trying to film
- Lighting was let through windows
- Had no working speaker so that I couldn't play the song as back ground noise
- Had a brick wall which I thought made it look less professional
- Had a working lighting board
- Was free for us during half term
- The blinds created a full black out
- This room also had speakers so I could play the song that Jake was lip syncing to
- It also had a black curtain that I could use to make the shots look more professional

Editing Plan
Fig 1
This is the editing plan. I did it so that
I would have some guidelines to follow when
putting my music video together.
Before a started editing I knew that the structure of my music video would determine how professional the final product would looked. So I developed this couler coded plan that helped me to break down the video depending on the pace and timing of the song. For example in the climax parts where the chorus is being played (marked in red), I decided to show shots of all three versions of Jake playing all the instruments. Where as during the bass guitar solos I only showed close up shots of Jake on the guitar. By doing this it makes the video flow and there for will increase audience satisfaction.
