The Location for My Music Video

I have decided to film my media project in the school assembly hall. With every location you will get pros and cons so I have decided to list them so that I can try to use the positives to my advantage and also understand the drawbacks so that I can think of inventive was to overcome them.

POSITIVES

• Easy to travel to and transport equipment
• Has spotlights I can use to light the set
• Large space with plenty of room to get establishing shots
• Stable and controlled environment which wont be effected by factors like weather 

NEGATIVES

• Cant film during school time as the hall will be in use
• Bit ironic and simple 
• Location is hard to use out side of school

Risk assessment

Media – Risk Assessment – Joe Wright

Here is a risk assessment I have done before making my Music video.  This is useful to make me think about anything which might be a risk, and to think about what I can do to prevent them from happening.

Final song choice

Pain by Jake Gooding

When picking the song for my music video only one idea that came to mind and that was the song 'PAIN' by Jake Gooding. This was a golden opportunity as Jake is one of my closes friends and has wanted to make a music video for his music for a while now. 

Jake has released two singles which have charted on the singer song writer charts. His first song 'Head low' was a major success and helped him find his audience who he proved with his second song 'descent' that he is serious about writing and producing music. I hope that now with the accommodation of a music video his music career will be able to step up to the next level and my directing and producing skills will be noticed by a larger audience. 

The next song 'Pain' has a complete new vibe compared to Jake's original songs. His style in this song is completely original and i'm hoping that paired up with a professional looking music video that the finished product will be unique and successful.
